  • Galena Oktoberfest 2021

Galena Oktoberfest 2021 It’s not often that I get a Saturday off with nothing scheduled. Friends suggested I volunteer a few hours to the Galena Lions Club during their annual Oktoberfest.  I immediately called and was put on the volunteer list for the day.   This year’s crowd was amazing; dare I say the largest crowd yet?  If you didn’t attend PLEASE save the date for next year; scheduled for Saturday, October 1, 2022.  You will not be disappointed! If you would like to attend as a volunteer please contact the Galena Lions Club. Click to view entire gallery Amy May Photography is an innovative & contemporary portrait studio offering…

  • Tony + Michelle | Eagle Ridge Resort | Galena Wedding Photography

Eagle Ridge Resort was the perfect backdrop for this wonderful couple’s wedding & reception on a warm July afternoon.  They brought their families and close friends to witness their nuptials on the Pointe Patio mid afternoon officiated by Paul Fasano of I Do Weddings. Late morning the girls had hair & makeup done by the fabulous team at Eagle Ridge while enjoying mimosas at one of the many rentals in the Galena Territory.  The guys were next door for their own style of pre-wedding entertainment.  After everyone was dressed it was time for the “first look” with both dad and the groom.  The arbor was adorned with flowers from Pigley…

  • Scarlett

We love children!  They are always unpredictable and lots of fun.  Within moments I have dozens of images of her expressions!  Scarlett modeled two outfits for me. Scarlett showed up in these adorable overalls and loved posing with her mother with her grandmother looking on.  At 9 months of age a child will follow people they know, not the photographer!  I always have a special feeling with I can capture a infant’s eyes looking straight into my camera.   Previous Next Previous Next Previous Next We’d love to capture your family! • How to Properly Hire Your Wedding Vendors

This is what today’s couples actually do to find and hire vendors for their wedding. Step 1 – Gather recommendations from friends, family and wedding vendors they trust. Your family and friends are a great resource for discovering great businesses to work with.  They may have used some great businesses they have worked with and recommend.  Find out what they liked about working with each business and what they would have like to see improved (get the good and bad).  Your tastes and styles may not be the same but their recommendation on service & quality may help you get started. • Family First During the Pandemic

Spring is around the corner and that means we are usually planning weddings, graduations, personal branding sessions, and family gatherings for the year. I hope you continue to plan your life events. Don’t worry if they are delayed; these events will still happen. Please continue to plan your lives as if this will end swiftly. Take time to look around your home, really look at your beautiful family and remember who you are; a mother, a brother, a daughter, an in-law… well, you get the point. Celebrate who you are, how your family has changed over the last few years, and why you love them. On the other side of this are more happy…
